Do you live in or around Denver?

Are you available March 28th to the 31st?

I am looking for both crew, cast and extras for a short student film.

We will be filming on Auraria Campus in downtown Denver and i still have some spots available.

All sizes and shapes for cast and extras are needed

I ask that crew have some experience with handeling equipment, but ask and I may find something you can help with other than equipment (such as costume, make-up, and set.)

I want to know if any other tf2 cosplayers will be joining us . There seemed to be a major lack of them while I was here Friday and I’m not sure if in missing you all or if I truly am one of the few scouts here. I was able to meet with a kind medic who led my friend and I do the badge line ( thank you if you find this ) My fem! Scout and I ( BLU scout) need some people to hang with.
EDIT: I met a BLU spy . You sir were cool. I hope you will still be spy tomorrow and we can hang along with who ever else wants to join. Possible photoshoot?

GalaxyFest is a SciFi/Fantasy Con going on February 8-10 at the Antlers Hilton Hotel in Colorado Springs. As cons go it is fairly new (this is their second year) and fairly small. Don’t let that put you off, there’s tons of stuff to do and there are activities for all ages, so you can bring the family.

Colorado Virtual Academy in Danger of shutting down!

Colorado Virtual Academy is an online home schooling program in Adams County School District in Denver, CO and it is in danger of being shut down by the school board!
Many children (including my two nephews) enrolled in this program have trouble learning and integrating in high volume public school classrooms, some are even unable to attend public schools for medical reasons (some I have met have cancer and cannot attend public school without fear of becoming very sick) others cannot afford private schooling for the education and time their children require.

So I am asking for your help to keep COVA open! All I ask is for you to sign this petition, and if you can, send the school district a letter telling them why they should keep this program open!

Here is the letter sent just today from COVA:

We need your help to keep our school open next year.

COVA is in serious threat of closing June 31st if the Adams 12 school district does not renew its charter. Although the Adams 12 staff has already recommended non-renewal, the board will make its final determination on February 6th. To help persuade the Adams 12 board to renew our charter, we need your help – parent support is absolutely critical.

The school needs your immediate help with the following 3 items:
1. If you live in the Adams 12 area, we need you to come and show your COVA support at the Adams 12 school board meeting tonight. A school-sponsored pizza party starts at 5:30pm, and the meeting begins at 7pm. Please RSVP by clicking here. Both activities will take place at the Adams 12 Administration
Building: 1500 East 128th Ave., Thornton. Student attendance is encouraged.

2.Take less than 1 minute to sign our “Support COVA’s renewal” petition. Click here to do so.

3.Write a couple sentences to the Adams 12 board, explaining why COVA works for your family. Click here to share your story, but please make sure to copy us on your email (charterrenewal@covcs.org).

The prom organizers are currently researching and price comparing locations for our upcoming prom this spring! However we need help from Coloradostucks who want to attend or who even just want to help out.

While the prom is technically free, we still need financial help to make an indoor prom meetup a reality! Please read the description on this donation page and remember that we can’t make this happen without a bit of help! Also note that the organizers will not make any sort of profit from this, 100% of the donations will go toward your Coloradostuck formal dances throughout the year (at least all of them that I host such as Homecoming, potentially more in the future).

I’m not sure how many of you would be cool with this or what, so I’m taking a quick poll on here and on the FB group. I thought it’d be cool to try and talk to Bishop and see if some evening during summer we could have a meetup/party in Bishop’s Castle. The place is fun and great. It’s big and there’s more then enough room to house say 30 or so of us and some food. We could throw together some music and just have fun with it.

Now, this is just an idea right now. I’ve yet to actually look into if Bishop is still willing to have the castle open to meet ups and parties (I’ve heard he kinda stopped throwing his own parties ever since some drunk idiot went up in a tower and fell off killing himself, but maybe if we all agree to pay him some money to compensate our use and to give him more funds to keep building the castle, that’d be okay?)
