Colorado Fandom Meetups

GalaxyFest is a SciFi/Fantasy Con going on February 8-10 at the Antlers Hilton Hotel in Colorado Springs. As cons go it is fairly new (this is their second year) and fairly small. Don’t let that put you off, there’s tons of stuff to do and there are activities for all ages, so you can bring the family.

I know that this is a ways away still, but I’ve seen some interesting ideas floating around tumblr about people holding an apocalypse party on 12/20 into the morning of 12/21?

I’ve seen some ideas of people dressing up in post apocalyptic costumes (tattered clothes, gas masks.. Think Mad Max or Tank Girl) and walking around/pub crawling/having fun.. 
things like that.

I know it’s a thursday night going into Friday, so some might be working the next day, and since it’s so close to Christmas others might have family obligations, so maybe we can even hold one on the night of 12/21 and then on New Years Eve as well? 

What do you guys think? Yea or Nay?

Denver meet ups would work best for me (since I can take the bus from Alamosa)… I REALLY would love a Brony meet up, if we had the people!
